National Autism Peer Education Programme

Are you the parent, carer or personal assistant of someone who is autistic?

Sometimes talking to people who share similar experience means you are more likely to feel understood and get the help you need. The National Autism Peer Education Programme offers families and carers of autistic people high-quality and easily accessible autism education, training, and support and is now available locally.

This is a programme that is run by families for families. Each session is provided by parents and carers of autistic people who are happy to share their knowledge and experience with others. They’re here to listen, offer guidance and tell you about services that are available in your local area.

If you would like to request support from a peer educator follow this link to complete the form to request support from a peer educator.

If you have any questions please email: peersupporthub@essex.gov.uk.

For more information about the peer education programme go to the Autism Central website which also has links to a local services directory and autism support organisations running online communities.
